What do smooth skin and technology have in common? Cleanlogic, a company dedicated to developing superior technology with antimicrobial protection for its exfoliating products that prevent odor-causing mold and bacteria. When and how did the brand get its start?

We launched Cleanlogic in 2006. At the time body wash consumption was growing, but most consumers were using mesh sponges and natural loofahs as shower tools to create lather and exfoliate. We wanted to develop a functional and hygienic solution that was also beneficial to the skin. So, we created a line of exfoliating antimicrobial bath accessories made from our Stretch Fiber Technology that would give consumers the ultimate exfoliating experience.

What was your first product?

Cleanlogic Exfoliating Stretch Wash Cloth

What was the inspiration behind that first product?

We designed Cleanlogic to provide an innovative solution to exfoliation. In focus groups, we frequently heard consumers voice their concerns about bacteria growth on their bath accessories. We took inspiration from the different products in the bath accessories category and looked to incorporate our Stretch Fiber Technology to provide new and innovative alternatives. We also discovered a way to incorporate an antimicrobial solution to the product to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria on our bath accessories.
 

Talk to us about your Stretch Fiber Technology.

Stretch Fiber Technology is integral to Cleanlogic products. Made of a nylon/polyester blend, it’s a durable, double ply material, unlike the standard single layer cloth accessories that you’d find at a retailer. It can stretch three times its original length and return to its normal shape, and it won’t tear. Our Stretch Fiber is also mold and bacteria resistant and comes prewashed because we believe that getting clean should start with clean products.

What was the inspiration behind the Stretch Fiber Technology?

We wanted to create a fabric that is beneficial to the skin and is great at exfoliating.

How often should you use the Exfoliating Stretch Bath & Shower Gloves?

You will notice a big difference to the softness of your skin when using our exfoliating bath gloves daily. If you have very sensitive skin, you can limit exfoliation to once or twice a week.

What are the benefits of using the exfoliating gloves versus a scrub?

The exfoliating gloves are easier to use and can get into harder-to-reach places. Cleanlogic gloves also have a thicker cuff compared to other brands and this ensures a secure fit on the hand when exfoliating.

 

 

Are these gloves for all skin types?

Our gloves are safe on all skin types.
 

How often should you replace your exfoliating products?

For our standard Cleanlogic line, the exfoliating products come with tags that will fade with use. When the logo fades, it’s time to replace your product. We recommend replacing exfoliators every 30 days.

What other products would you suggest from your collection to compliment the exfoliating gloves?

We recommend the Dual Texture Exfoliating Body Scrubber which you can use on both your face and body. The Exfoliating Stretch Wash Cloth is also a good product to have because you can use it to reach your back in the shower.

What’s next for Cleanlogic?

Cleanlogic has a strong innovation pipeline. The next segment we are looking to innovate is the facial cleansing accessories category.
